Childern as young as five to be fingerprinted in schools

Schools are to get the Government's permission to fingerprint all pupils. Ministers will issue guidance telling them they have the right to install fingerprint scanners and collect biometric data from children as young as five. The data could be used to monitor school attendance, control lunch queues and help with the issuing of library books.....
